Another Lockdown but 2021 is on it's way..
Well, here we are in lockdown again. It would have been lovely to remain open for our Autumn adventurers this November, but it wasn't to be, so now we must look forward to 2021. Our rollercoaster 6th year of running Isle of Wight Campers has kept us on our toes but we have enjoyed a covid safe season after reopening on July 4th and for that we are grateful. Our move to our new premises on St Helens Duver has been amazing and we loved meeting so many people who were delighted to see our Campers now based next to Bembridge Harbour. Julia's Aqualibrium Art Gallery at Camper HQ has been a huge success and we are very fortunate to have so many talented local artists who keep us supplied with amazing art, gifts and cards.
Are you looking to book a VW Camper or Land Rover hire in 2021? We will continue to follow Government Guidelines regarding our operating procedures and when we can be open we will be ready to welcome you to the Isle of WIght. Our Covid booking terms are as follows - we will ask you for a £100 deposit for your 2 / 3 or 4 night hire and £200 for a week. If you are unable to come for your hire due to Covid restrictions or if you are required to self-isolate to protect us all, then we will transfer your deposit to a new hire period, even if the deferral occurs on the day of hire. In simple terms, your deposit will be turned into a voucher for your future use. We will be asking for hire balances to be paid 14 days prior to arrival unless we feel that another lockdown is imminent, in which case we will wait to take the balance upon your arrival. If you have paid your balance at any point or within the 14 day period and are unable to come for Covid reasons, we can either refund the balance payment or transfer the funds to new dates. We may ask for proof of a Covid test if you defer at very short notice citing self-isolation requirements, but we think that is a fair request in return for our flexibility. If you have booked a ferry through us, as long as we have 24 hours notice, we can transfer the travel dates or request a refund without penalty. We are fair and flexible and we want you to book with confidence.
Will all of our wonderful Isle of Wight events happen in 2021? We certainly don't have the answer but we do hope so and so we will be updating our 2021 events calendar and our fingers will be crossed that 2021 can be a slightly more normal year for us all.
